Proxim is a new and exciting company specialising in managing apartment blocks, residential estates and mixed used developments.
We created Proxim after working for 30 years in the property management industry and knowing, from experience, that we can deliver a straightforward service that everyone expects for their home and investment. An original approach but not actually original.
Proxim is built on our Values and around our Culture – Values based on transparency, teamwork, honesty and discipline and, a Culture based on bravery, collaboration, ambition and commitment.
I am a co-founder of Proxim Property Management and past rugby player for Leicester Tigers, Moseley and the Barbarians.
It has been my ambition to own my own business since working for my father’s surveying company some 28 years ago and, the timing although probably later than expected, was due to inspiration from my business partner, Louise Andrews.
Having worked in the industry for over 20 years, I have known for a long time that there are not enough property management businesses providing a good basic standard of service and so created Proxim with the mission of becoming that one reliable company that can provide the basics and that bit more.
I am an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Member of the Institute of Residential Property Management. I have managed and led teams in the management of apartment blocks, residential estates and mixed-use schemes. I have also headed up Business Development teams providing property management strategies and service charge budgets to developers and house builders.
I have learnt on the rugby field that if all team players play well all the time, get the basics right and do not make mistakes, it only takes one person to do something outstanding to win.
I am a co-founder of Proxim Property Management and an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Member of the Institute of Residential Property Management.
Some 18 years ago I started my Property Management career at the bottom rung of the ladder. Through hard work and determination, I worked my way through various job roles in different areas of property management, gaining extensive knowledge and experience along the way.
I have worked in New Business Teams, implementing new and previously managed schemes into management on behalf of Developers and Investors and, in my last role as Finance Director, was responsible for service charge, sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control teams. Many people ask why we took the leap to set up our company. The answer, besides wanting to make a living for our families, is quite simple; we want to provide a service to our customers that a lot of other companies promise to deliver but fall short of doing so.
At Proxim our values are part of us and our make-up. We are in control of our service delivery through our values and our people; our residents, our staff, our clients and our contractors, will always be at the heart of what we do.
Richard is our Director of Service Charge. With over 15 years working in the property management sector Richard is an expert in all aspects of service charge and, is responsible for ensuring our accounts platform is the foundation for our property management service to function effectively.
Richard and his team ensure that services charges are accounted for properly and that financial records and client reports are clear and concise.
As well as routine service charge accounting Richard is an expert in analysing service charges of properties previously managed by other agents.
When not at work Richard enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and exploring the Cities of Europe. Richard is also a keen rugby follower, supporting Worcester Warriors.
